Consulting FAQs

Radical Minds offers a range of services for children, adolescents, and adults. Our most requested service is our ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) program which provides one-on-one teaching instruction for individuals diagnosed with Autism.

We specialize in early intervention ABA for children between the ages of 2 – 5, though when schedules permit we do also readily provide services for school-aged children and offer support for older children and adolescents in learning functional living skills.

We also serve individuals of all ages through our Mental Health Counseling services.

Early intervention means starting services as young as possible. Because evidence has shown early intervention to be a key in improving outcomes for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the primary focus of our ABA program is to provide services to children between the ages of two and five. This helps to equip them with the tools they need to be successful in a classroom environment.

Reach out via phone, email, or form on the website to express interest. Once we hear from you, you’ll be invited to create an online profile where we can gather information about you or your child. Next, an intake appointment will be scheduled to determine which, if any, of our services are the best fit. Following the intake, you will be placed on our waitlist and contacted when and if an opening becomes available.

We schedule several intake appointments each week. Once you reach out we will get you scheduled for an intake or get you on the waitlist for your intake appointment. We strive to schedule intake appointments up to 90 days in advance.

Yes, there is a waitlist. Our process is to identify openings, and then match them to families with corresponding availability. Your time on the waitlist depends on several factors, including location preferences and availability. Therefore, it is important to provide as accurate and thorough an account of availability as possible.

Our schedules change during the months of January, June, and August. Although we maintain a rolling admission throughout the year, based on availability, these months tend to be when we enroll the most children, as well as make adjustments to the schedules of currently enrolled children as requested by families.

There are morning sessions and afternoon sessions. The precise proposed schedule is determined upon assessment and based on each child’s skills and goals. Given our limited availability, we often begin planning for new enrollments multiple months in advance and are unable to accommodate specific schedule requests.

While we try our best to match families with the clinic location that is most convenient, openings may occur at various locations, making it important to indicate any locations on the availability sheet to which your family would be open.

Proceed to completing the following intake packet and availability survey. When these items are returned, our administrative team will review them for
completion and create a record. If there is missing information or our clinical team has questions following their review, then you may receive a request for additional information prior to being scheduled.

At the intake appointment, an intake coordinator will review the file with you to seek any clarifying information, discuss family goals, and answer any questions related to the details of our services. Although an intake appointment is not a guarantee of services, it is the next step, during which a more precise timeline will be discussed.

Due to the possibility of an extensive wait-time, we strongly encourage all families to simultaneously secure a placement on the waitlists for other locally reputable agencies.
